Booking deposit
A deposit may be required to confirm a safari, day trip, accommodation, or activity booking. This allows us to secure vehicles, guides, rooms, permits, and supplier services.
Policy overview
Simple and transparent cancellation terms
All cancellations must be sent in writing by email or WhatsApp. The cancellation period is calculated from the date Njiro Legacy Safaris receives the written cancellation request, not from the date the guest decides to cancel.
Supplier costs
Any non-refundable costs already paid to hotels, parks, airlines, activity providers, or government authorities may be deducted from any refund.

The following cancellation charges apply unless a specific booking agreement states different terms.

Refunds
Refund processing and deductions
Refund conditions
- ✓Approved refunds are processed after deducting applicable cancellation fees.
- ✓Bank charges, card fees, transfer fees, and currency exchange differences are not refundable.
- ✓Refunds are normally sent back using the original payment method where possible.
Non-refundable items
- xPark fees, permits, and government charges already paid
- xHotel or lodge penalties charged to us
- xDomestic flights, special activities, and third-party supplier fees
Date changes
Changing travel dates instead of cancelling
Where possible, Njiro Legacy Safaris will help guests postpone or reschedule their tour. Date changes depend on vehicle, guide, hotel, park, and supplier availability.
Flexible support
We will try to move your booking to new dates when possible. Any price difference, seasonal supplement, hotel rate change, or supplier fee must be paid by the guest.
Last-minute changes
Changes requested close to departure may not be possible, especially where park fees, rooms, permits, domestic flights, or special activities have already been confirmed.
Unexpected events
Force majeure and travel disruption
Njiro Legacy Safaris is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or additional costs caused by events outside our control, including extreme weather, road conditions, government restrictions, park closures, airline delays, illness, civil disturbance, or other force majeure events.
Travel insurance recommendation
Guests are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, delayed flights, lost baggage, evacuation, and personal belongings.

Please contact us as early as possible with your booking details. Early notice gives us the best chance to reduce cancellation costs and assist with date changes.
